HEALTH & SAFETY
Our Safety Culture - Safety First, No Compromise - is one of the company's key values.
Naylor & Walkden are committed to providing a safe environment for all our employees, site visitors, and members of the public alike. We have invested heavily in this key area and are proud of our Health & Safety record.
Our pro-active approach to safety, ensures that all our employees know the part that they have to play in maintaining our high safety standards, supported by an ongoing training programme. All our employees are registered with either the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) or Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS), and we support our supply chain partners with these qualifications.
We undertake the role of Principal Contractor under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 1994. To meet our obligations and responsibilities, the company operates a system of standard procedures and methods. These are tailored to project specific requirements by process of contract review. This process in conjunction with the Pre-Tender Health and Safety Plan, Company Health and Safety Manual, Risk and COSHH Assessments and Quality Assurance procedures, generates the planning and control documentation for our project, including the Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan. System procedures and project implementation are subject to monitoring and review for appropriateness and conformance by our Managing Director and the Health & Safety Manager.
